Disc Golf Art

We have works by Michael Barnard, Brian Allen, John Dorn, Mark Paul John and others.

Soldier Silhouette Series-The Artist, Mark Paul John (known as The Freedom Artist) created the Soldier Silhouette Series to honor our service members and veterans. He’s graciously made these copywrite images available to help fund Missile Ridge Disc Golf Course located on the American Legion property in Cedar Lake, IN. Sponsored by the Disc Golf Fly Mart, it’s been built with 100% volunteer time and money. This course is dedicated to our service members, first responders and veterans.

Disc Golf Art

Disc golf discs often feature eye-catching artwork, and there are several popular themes and styles in disc art:

  1. Fantasy and Mythology: These designs might include dragons, mythical creatures, or fantasy landscapes, creating a magical or otherworldly feel.

  2. Nature and Animals: Artwork depicting natural scenes, animals, or plants is common. This could range from detailed illustrations of wildlife to abstract representations of nature.

  3. Abstract and Geometric: Some discs feature bold geometric shapes, patterns, and abstract designs, which can be visually striking and modern.

  4. Pop Culture: Designs inspired by movies, comics, or other elements of pop culture can make discs stand out and appeal to fans of those genres.

  5. Artistic Collaborations: Many disc golf brands collaborate with artists to create unique, limited-edition discs. These can range from intricate hand-drawn illustrations to sleek, modern designs.

  6. Retro and Vintage: These designs might evoke a nostalgic feel with classic art styles or themes reminiscent of past decades.

  7. Personal and Custom Designs: Some players opt for custom artwork, either through a brand’s custom design service or by working directly with an artist.

The artwork not only makes each disc unique but also often reflects the personality or interests of the player. Do you have a favorite style or theme you’re particularly drawn to?
