This is a Brand New Whamo FRISBEE Golf Disc from the 1987 Disc Golf World Championships held in Toronto Canada. It weighs 167 grams and is in unthrown condition. Whamo made a brief foray into manufacturing golf discs but never seemed to pay much attention to disc golf and got left behind. Oddly this trademarked Whamo product was made by Innova Champion Discs and is so stated on the front embossing. The disc in the picture is the disc you get.
Disc-Yellow— Stamp-Blue/Red
Speed 7, Glide 6, Turn -3, Fade 1
Whamo Says: Basically nothing. There were later releases of ‘golf discs’ from Whamo with a driver, mid/fairway and a putter. None of them caught on. About 15 years ago I tossed some of them (not this disc) and found their flight generally under stable. The biggest negative for me was the grip, this mid/fairway version just feels cattywampus in my hand. I recommend a life of hanging on the wall for this rare and unique historical disc.
